Lunchtime Clubs at Donvale Primary School

At Donvale Primary School, students have the opportunity to participate in a range of lunchtime and recess clubs throughout the week. These clubs provide students with a chance to connect with peers who share similar interests, explore new activities and enjoy different ways to spend their unstructured play times.

Lunchtime clubs help create a vibrant and inclusive school environment where students can build friendships, pursue personal interests and feel connected to the wider school community.

Opportunities to Explore Interests

Our clubs reflect the diverse interests of our students and may include activities such as:

  • Gardening Club

  • Library Club

  • Wellbeing Club

  • Junior and Senior Choir

  • Art Club

  • Cubs Club

  • Lion Dance

  • Run Club

Some clubs run weekly, while others operate on specific days or across certain weeks of the term.

A Space to Connect and Belong

These clubs provide students with opportunities to:

  • meet and collaborate with students from different classes and year levels

  • explore creative, cultural and physical activities

  • develop confidence and new skills

  • enjoy alternative forms of play during recess and lunchtime

Clubs are led by staff members who are passionate about creating welcoming spaces where students feel comfortable participating and trying new things.

Encouraging Participation

Students are welcome to join clubs that interest them and are encouraged to participate regularly when possible. Whether singing in choir, exploring creativity in art, caring for the garden or getting active in Run Club, these experiences help enrich school life and strengthen connections across the Donvale community.
