Donvale Primary School has proudly participated in the Victorian State Schools Spectacular for over 15 years. This long-standing involvement reflects our commitment to creativity, collaboration and providing students with opportunities to perform on a large and inspiring stage.
The State Schools Spectacular is a major annual production that brings together thousands of students from across Victoria to perform in a professional arena setting. For our students, it is an unforgettable experience that celebrates dedication, teamwork and artistic expression.
Participation in the State Schools Spectacular offers selected students the chance to:
rehearse and perform as part of a mass choir
work alongside students from schools across the state
experience large-scale production environments
perform in a professional venue before thousands of audience members
Students learn that excellence comes through preparation, commitment and collaboration.
Being part of the Spectacular is both exciting and demanding. Students participate in rehearsals outside normal school hours and demonstrate strong commitment and responsibility.
Through this experience, students develop:
confidence performing in front of large audiences
resilience through rehearsal and refinement
teamwork and cooperation
pride in representing their school
It is an opportunity for students to challenge themselves while feeling supported and encouraged.
The State Schools Spectacular extends learning beyond the weekly Performing Arts program. Students experience:

This experience deepens their appreciation of music, movement and performance as collaborative art forms.
