At Donvale Primary School we believe in providing our students with enriching experiences that go beyond the classroom walls. Our Camping Program is designed to foster teamwork, build resilience, and create lasting memories for our students.
Prep Breakfast: Our Preps are invited to come to school in their pajamas, creating a sense of excitement and fun. They kick off the day with breakfast at school, providing an opportunity for social interaction and a communal start to the day. After breakfast, they'll change into their school uniforms and proceed with their regular school activities.
Grade 1 & 2 Camp Activities Day: For our Grade 1 and 2 students, we organize a special Camp Activities Day right here at school. This day is filled with a variety of outdoor and team-building activities, allowing the students to experience the essence of camping while in the familiar surroundings of their school.
Grades 3 - 6 Two-Night Camp: Our older students in grades 3 through 6 have the unique opportunity to embark on a two-night camping adventure. We alternate between a bush and beach setting to provide diverse experiences. These camps offer a chance for students to connect with nature, learn new skills, and bond with their peers in a supportive and immersive environment.
Camping provides a unique setting for students to interact with their peers outside the traditional classroom. It encourages teamwork, cooperation, and the development of strong interpersonal skills.
