The Donvale Primary School Parents & Friends Association (PFA) is a group of volunteer parents who work to promote a close relationship between parents, teachers, school staff, students and the community.
The PFA organise events that support the school in a number of ways. Each year the PFA holds a Mother’s Day and Father’s Day stall, cake stalls, Christmas raffles, Welcome Parent’s morning teas, second hand uniform sales and more!
The PFA is open to all parents of Donvale Primary students. Parents can meet other parents and make new friends and connections by participating in the activities of the PFA and is also a great opportunity for parents to network and support each other.
Above all, the PFA is an inclusive, welcoming, and fun social organisation run by parents for all parents. It aims to contribute to the well-being of parents and students by celebrating the wealth of diversity, interests, and knowledge that every parent brings, in order to enrich the school environment.
If you would like to share your talents or your story, you are more than welcome to help us organise events. The PFA meet once a term over a nice hot cup of tea. If you are interested in joining this wonderful group of volunteers please contact the school office or join our WhatsApp group using the link below.

Our School Council, partly made up of parents, oversee the strategic direction of the school. Being a councillor is a rewarding and fulfilling experience. It provides an opportunity to directly influence policies and school operation that relate to your child’s education and experiences at Donvale Primary School.
At Donvale Primary School we encourage parents and carers to become involved in school life.
Parent helpers are always welcome in the Junior School classroom across all curriculum areas as well as on excursions. A training session is held each year to assist volunteers to support students in the most effective way.
To join us as a parent helper either in the classroom, on excursions or for any of our Parents Association activies, you will be required to have a current Working With Childrens Check. You can apply for one here Working With Childrens Check Application
