School Information for Prospective Families
While we encourage parents to make their local school a first port of call when considering Primary Schools for their child, Donvale Primary School is happy to consider all students for enrolment at our school. Students who reside within our school zone (see findmyschool.vic.gov.au) will automatically be accepted for enrolment. You can see the Department of Education and Training's Placement Policy, which our school follows, here.
Prep 2025 Enrolments
This year our school will use an online system for new enrolments to Victorian government schools called VicStudents.
To commence online enrolment: Visit https://students.educationapps.vic.gov.au/s/ to create an account and complete the online application form. Please ensure that all documents required are attached to the application.

VicStudents has been assessed by the Department of Education to a high degree of security in line with the Victorian Protective Data Security Standards and is compliant with ISO 27001, the leading international standard for information security.

General Enrolments
To enrol at Donvale Primary School (outside of Foundation), please use the form below or contact the office to collect your enrolment form. Tours are available from 9:15am on most morning. Please contact the office and we can book you in. We are very happy to show you our school and the opportunities and programs we offer your child. Children who have a brother or sister attending the school are guaranteed a place in Foundation.

Schools' Privacy Policy
Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au which hosts the most up-to-date information on school zones in Victoria.
Students residing within our school zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined on the basis of your permanent residential address.
Our school manages enrolments using the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and may enrol at another school, if there are available places.

The new amendments to the No Jab, No Play legislation have tightened requirements for enrolment in early childhood services and impact acceptable documentation for school entry immunisation requirements:
As of 28 February 2018, an Immunisation History Statement from the Australian Immunisation Register will be the only form of documentation accepted as proof of a child’s immunisation status.
Documents produced by GPs or other immunisation providers will no longer be sufficient as a form of evidence.
This confidential enrolment form asks for personal information about your child as well as family members and others that provide care for your child. The main purpose for collecting this information is so that Donvale Primary School can register your child and allocate staff and resources to provide for their educational and support needs. All staff at Donvale Primary School and the Department of Education & Training are required by law to protect the information provided by this enrolment form.
Health information is asked for so that staff at Donvale Primary School can properly care for your child. This includes information about any medical condition or disability your child may have, medication your child may rely on while at school, any known allergies and contact details of your child’s doctor. Donvale Primary School depends on you to provide all relevant health information because withholding some health information may put your child’s health at risk.
Donvale Primary School requires information about all parents, guardians or carers so that we can take account of family arrangements. Family Court Orders setting out any access restrictions and parenting plans should be made available to Donvale Primary School. Please tell us as soon as possible about any changes to these arrangements. Please do not hesitate to contact the Principal, Lena Clark, if you would like to discuss, in strict confidence, any matters relating to family arrangements.
