Donvale Primary School provides students with a positive educational experience to achieve their potential in a comprehensive learning environment that is caring, secure and stimulating. Donvale Primary School, established in 1967, is located in a quiet residential street providing safe access to students to and from school.  The unique environment of the school includes extensive challenging and safe passive and active play areas and well resourced and maintained permanent buildings.  A secure before and after school care facility ensures a safe environment for students outside of school hours.  Our canteen provides well-balanced and nutritious lunches available daily.

The mission statement for Donvale Primary School is to ensure that each student will have the best chance for the future by helping them to obtain their full potential at school.  The school provides high quality, innovative, exciting and inclusive programs to ensure opportunities and successes for all students within a safe and caring environment. 

There is a commitment to an integrated curriculum approach through enquiry learning, acknowledging the difference in rates and styles of learning, and the development of higher order thinking skills, risk taking, adaptability, cooperation and sound communication techniques.  Extension programs are swimming, camps and excursions, cultural activities, perceptual motor program (PMP), Choir, level support, and sporting teams.

Donvale Primary School has a significant program for students with disabilities; with additional support catering for those students with special needs.  Donvale values and encourages integrating students with disabilities.  We see the benefit to both the integrated student and the wider school community. 

Donvale Primary School, in partnership with its community, values a shared approach to the education of its children through active parent participation. The school community shares a vision of developing the potential of every child.  This vision gives shape and direction to the schools outstanding future.

At Donvale Primary School class begins at 9am. Students have recess from 11:00 - 11:30am and lunch between 1:30 - 2:30pm. School finishes at 3:30pm. School Assembly is held Monday mornings in terms one and four and Monday afternoons in terms two and three.
