Performing Arts

Performing arts lessons take place each week, where students learn the basics of singing, dancing, acting and playing instruments in a fun environment. We use a lot of body percussion, movement, dance and play both tuned and un-tuned instruments. Donvale Primary School also provides opportunities for interested students to participate in recorder groups and a percussion band.

      In addition, three choirs are available for any student in grades 1/2, 3/4 or 5/6. These are the "Junior Jammers", "Music Makers" and "Super Seniors". Weekly assemblies, open days, Oxfam Concerts and community festivals are venues we like to use for our performances. We believe that all students can enjoy performing arts and participate in a wide range of musical and acting  experiences.

In term three the whole school will be involved in a school production. The junior school will be performing "Aesop's Funtastic Fables" and the senior school will be performing "Around the world in 80 minutes".
